Rosecroft Court

Rosecroft Court is an immaculately kept development which backs on to the Royal Liverpool Golf Course in Hoylake. The existing surface was, unfortunately, starting to wear and decay, causing pot holes and puddles to form. Our client wanted a new asphalt surface but with minimal disruption to the homeowners.

“We are very pleased with the asphalt works completed by Lias and his team” – Billy Graham, Chairman of committee

Rosecroft Court

This type of job is called a resurface. We used a machine called a skid steer plainer to remove the top surface of asphalt to a reduced level, which allows the new surface to be laid at the same height as the original.

After the existing surface was planned, we pressured washed it to move all debris. A tack coat emulsion is then applied to help seal the existing and new surfaces together. Once the emulsion had dried and become ‘tacky’, we filled any low spots with a regulation of asphalt. Finally, we laid the final coat of asphalt with a paving machine and heavy duty rollers.
