Our Team
Black Macadam is a true family business. It was founded by Andrew Black in 1993 and together with his wife, his daughter and his two sons, Andrew has taken the business from strength to strength over the last three decades. Today, we are known across Wirral for the quality of our work and of our service.
We have four core values as a business: trust, honesty, organisation and punctuality. This means that we do what we say we will – with no hidden surprises. Keep reading to learn more about each member of our team.

Andrew Black, Founder/Chairman
Andrew Black is the Founder and Chairman of Black Macadam. He established the company back in 1985 and continues to play a key role within the business, namely setting standards and planning for the future, his favourite part of his job is problem-solving and fixing things.
Lias Black, Managing Director
Lias is the Managing Director of Black Macadam, responsible for the day to day running of the business including dealing with customers, planning work schedules and controlling work operations. His favourite part of his job is discussing ideas with customers and providing quality products. Lias holds CSCS, Streetworks and Highways Supervisor accreditations and also has a trailer towing license.
Perrie Black, Operations Manager
Perrie Black is our Operations Manager, responsible for overseeing all onsite activities and logistics including delegating tasks to the workforce, operating machinery and driving our HGV vehicles. He especially enjoys laying resin bound gravel driveways. Perrie has a Class 1 HGV license, is accredited by Streetworks and is Highways Operative approved.
Susan Robinson, Accounts Manager
Our Accounts Manager, Susan Robinson, has been with Black Macadam since it was established in 1985. She is responsible for the business accounts and processing payments. Her favourite part of her role is being able to see and work with her family every day.
Rosie Mariott, Admin Manager
As Admin Manager, Rosie is responsible for all business admin. She is also PA to the directors. Working for Black Macadam since 2007, her day to day responsibilities include writing quotations and invoices as well as arranging site visits and meetings. What Rosie enjoys most about her job is that every day is different with new challenges.
